Born in England to an English mother and an American father, Nicola spent much of her childhood outside of the United States. Now she resides in the Southwest, in a 100-year-old house that provides great ambiance for writing and composing.
As well as writing, Nicola also got into editing (a necessary evil for all writers). Nicola has edited books, served as Managing Editor for a newspaper, and founded and published Bridges Magazine, a full-colour print publication for readers and writers of women’s fiction. She sold the magazine in 2001.
Nicola became involved in design and layout in the late 1980s, when she and her husband purchased a print shop. Since that time, Nicola has moved into web page design, as well as continued to hone her skills in print advertising, newsletter design, and the like.
